The Primavera kicks off the RideStaffs programme for 2018 with an early season brunch and bike ride combo starting and finishing at Sugnall Walled Garden. The overall route is 41 miles, but there’s a 30 mile variation for those who want something a little shorter. Both routes are the same up to the split which comes at 28 miles.
Starting at Sugnall Walled Garden, the early miles of the Primavera take you west to Loggerheads until, with 6.5 miles under your belt, you turn into the quiet lanes with the highest climb of your ride already under your belt!
Our flat route wiggles its way south through pretty villages and hamlets like Hales and Cheswardine as it skirts the Shropshire border before eventually turning north and back towards Sugnall. Just shy of the 30 mile point you pass tantalisingly close to the start of the ride and there’s the opportunity to bail out if you’ve had enough. But we hope you’ll carry on in order to complete the full distance and take in the final loop around Eccleshall, Norton Bridge and Cold Meece before heading back to Sugnall for a well earned brunch.
