Cycling’s most legendary mountain is the setting for a tough new charity challenge.
Ultimate Ventoux Challenge will see riders tackle the 1,912m ‘Giant of Provence’ three times, by three different routes, in just one day.
The fully-supported ride takes place over the weekend June 23-25 and will be in aid of two local air ambulances and the national Children’s Air Ambulance.
The 137km route includes 4,400m of climbing, with riders making separate ascents from Bedoin (a 21.5k, 1,620m climb), Malucene (21k, 1,570m) and Sault (26k, 1,210m).
All riders completing the challenge will gain entry to the exclusive Club de Cingles du Mont Ventoux.
Transport for riders and bikes will be provided by the charity, along with all accommodation and food. Registration is £250 and riders must raise at least £750 in sponsorship. Email email@example.com to register your interest
